Emily has also taught Philosophy and Ethics at the Retirement Education Centre Ltd and given sessions in local schools. Much of her work has been charity and culture related, including aiding a cultural awareness campaign called The Culture Challenge and working with galleries and theatre societies. She is an inclusive feminist and campaigns for LGBT+ rights. Emily is also an illustrator and has provided illustrations for Stephen Law and the Courtauld Institute of Art.
Most recently, Emily has been working on coming to better understand the histories of the Brontë portraits and has a forthcoming essay for Brontë Studies entitled ‘Anne Brontë: The Case for a New Likeness’.
