Health & wellbeing

The Student Support Office coordinates our health and wellbeing services. We are here to help you find the support you need when you are unwell. Read on for more information on:

It is recommended that you register with a doctor while you are at university. It most cases it will be advisable to register with a GP practice closest to your home.  You can search on the NHS Choices website.    We have built up good relationships with local GPs in the area surrounding the college site. If you are living within the W8 postcode, for example in Alban Halls of Residence, then Scarsdale Medical Centre is recommended at 2, Scarsdale Place, London W8 5SX.  For more details please see

You can also use the NHS services search to find a GP near to where you live; this should be done as soon as you have proof of address as you will not be seen until you are fully registered.

We have a College counsellor available who provides a free, confidential service for emotional and psychological difficulities related to your time as a student. You are welcome to make use of this free service for your general mental wellbeing or for advice on how to access other NHS psychological therapies.
